Windows doesn’t make it easy to find the option to set the timer for hibernation. Power Options shows Dim the display, Turn off the display, and Put the computer to sleep, but nowhere could I find any mention of hibernation. I knew it was activated because when I turned on the computer this morning, it was in hibernation. I searched a bit online and found the answer at http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/819-hibernate-enable-disable.html. Down in Option Four it says to go to advanced power settings and expand the Sleep tree. The option to change the setting is in there.
